Tribal Formula Review

This isn’t an actual review, well, not what I would consider a review anyway.  I am not making any recommendations one way or another.  I don’t recommend products I have never tried myself and since I have yet to try this particular course, I don’t know enough about it to say whether it lives up to the hype.

However, I do think you should take a minute, read the rest of my post and click through to check out the site for yourself.  Yanik Silver recommended it to me this morning and that was enough for me to at least check out the site and watch the free videos.  The video’s were compelling and the information was interesting.  There is the usual hype that goes along with these types of products but if you look past that, the idea behind Tribal Marketing is pretty interesting.

Guide to Becoming a Super Affiliate

Have you heard of Rosalind Gardner?  She has been around for a long time and consistently shows up at the top of the list when people talk about super affiliates.  She found her success by creating an incredibly profitable dating affiliate site.  She came to the affiliate marketing world with no business experience or training, she dove in head first, worked hard and now pulls in over $500,000 a year in commissions.   She has the proof and the longevity to back up her claims.  If anyone can call themselves a Super Affiliate, it’s Rosalind.

Sadly enough, many of the people that buy her book will never actually read it and those that read it won’t apply all of the tips and knowledge that the book imparts.  For whatever reason there is a whole sector of people who go from one info-product to the next hoping it contains the secret to untold wealth.  But so many people just buy it with great plans and never do anything.  That’s really the big trick online, DO SOMETHING!  My point with this little rant is that Rosalind is safe putting real-life examples in her book.  She knows that a good portion of the people who buy the Super Affiliate Handbook won’t read it and a portion of the people who do read it won’t do anything with it.  The big “secret” to making money online is that it’s hard work and doing something is better than dreaming and doing nothing.  My point is, don’t be one of those people.  Buy the book and use the information, it’s solid and if you put in the time, the techniques in this book will help you make money with affiliate programs.

SEO Elite Software Review

If you have been trying to make money online for any length of time, you know that SEO and SEM are big pieces of the puzzle.   It is an area that many people struggle with before things finally start clicking and they start to understand the basics.  Amazingly enough, for both SEO and SEM, the basics are the most import keys to success with the search engines.  There is always more to learn and you are certainly going to have an easier time of ranking if you have the more advanced techniques down but if you don’t have the basics, the foundation, nothing is going to happen for you.

So, if SEO basics are the most important thing to learn for getting ranked, what is the second most important thing?  For me, that’s a no brainer, it’s data.  If you don’t have the data, if you don’t know what keywords are being searched for and which ones drive conversions, if you don’t know what your competitors are doing, you are just stumbling in the dark with nothing to really focus on.

SEO Elite is one of the best tools I have used to get that data when I am optimizing a new mini site (if you don’t know what a mini site is, read my review of The Mini Site Formula from last month).   Unlike a lot of the software and tools that are sold for SEO, it’s inexpensive and pays for itself in no time if you follow through and use it.   The creator of the software shows you exactly what he has been able to do with it, he has used his tool to rank #1 for some very competitive keywords.

The SEO Elite software will show you the top ranked sites for the keywords you want to target and why they are ranked that way.  It gives you a ton of info that can actually be a little overwhelming at first but they have created some great tutorials that teach you step by step on how to use the software and how to use the data.  It will tell you what changes you need to make to your own web site in order to compete for rank with the sites that you are competing against.

It also has link building tools that will help you get those very valuable inbound links.  Make sure you are careful with that tool, it is going to give you a big list of sites that you can approach for links, don’t use that list irresponsibly and start SPAMMING people, use it as a starting point.  One thing I think SEO Elite should emphasize a little better is to communicate to customers that getting the most inbound links isn’t what is important, what is important is getting the highest quality inbound links that you can.  Getting 100 crap quality links to your site is not as good as getting 1 or 2 high quality.  So if you use this tool, don’t focus on mass quantity, focus on quality.

Profiting from Niche Mini Sites

I have been a long time subscriber to Phil Wiley’s “Letter From Phil” newsletter. Phil is an expert at affiliate marketing and he wrote the first book on making and profiting from mini niche sites. It was the road map I used to build my own network of mini affiliate sites. His stuff was straight-forward, made sense and most importantly it worked. Phil makes enough with his mini sites that he doesn’t send out his newsletter very often anymore but when he does, it’s one that I pay attention to. I was surprised to read in his latest newsletter that he was recommending a competing product to his own niche marketing ebook. When a competitor, sends out a newsletter to his entire database, and recommends someone elses competing product, especially when that person is a respected expert in his field, I pay attention.

Many niche affiliate guides have popped up since Phil’s book way back when but none of them seemed to add any additional value, until now. Joel Peterson just launched his Mini Site Formula, an impressive course consisting of 31 videos, templates, sample sites and more.
